A sword that has been tempered and shaped numerous times, with layers of raw steel folded over on itself, meticulously hammered, and delicately The Katana, the iconic Japanese sword of the Samurai warrior, is shaped to be one of the finest weapons the world has ever known. It is Kaye's source of inspiration. Her personal journey is symbolized by the painful path of the Warrior and the Katana.
All of her nightmare creatures, post-debauchery memories, and melancholia have been mined, transforming into the raw steel that she shaped and forged into this collection. They are designs that become a part of the wearer/warrior. They are intended to represent, protect, and project inner-survivors. As a result, the clothes become more than just clothing; they become warrior stories.
Kaye has paid homage to oriental iconography, Asian warrior imagery fused with contemporary and post-modernistic treatments, and most notably Japan, Asia's fashion capital, whose culture is very dear to her heart and helped her awaken the warrior in her.
