Through this collection, Kaye wanted to show people that art is everywhere. While it features her signature traits of pop art and punk aesthetics, Vomit is a collection that showcases her integrity as an artist. The collection is inspired by ‘Vomit Art’, an avant-garde genre of modern art that dares people to see perfection in the derelict- the strains that lie in the fringes of our culture that often goes unnoticed by many, yet revered by many who are able to see its worth in beauty. For Kaye, art is everywhere and she want people to be able to experience her art completely in their daily life. Vomit Art is her evolution as an artist.
For her Philippine Fashion Week presentation, Kaye Morales stays true to her signature pop-art-meets-punk aesthetic. Her Holiday 2017 collection, in collaboration with Jabra, aims to prove that there is "beauty in the conventionally undesired". Featuring oversized sweaters, overalls, and a plethora of jackets in multi-colored fur, denim, fringe, and holographic fabric, Vomit Art is as playful and vibrant as it can get, styled with mismatched tassel earrings, fishnet socks, and occasional splashes of neon.
